Caramel chocolate crunch bars

Posted on January 13, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes 😍 — Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars are addictive: a crispy base, gooey caramel layer, and a smooth chocolate topping. Perfect for dessert or snack time.

🍫🍯 Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars

Ingredients (for ~12 bars)

Base

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits, crushed)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar

Caramel Layer

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

1. Make the Base

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until evenly combined.
  3. Press into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. Cool slightly.

2. Prepare Caramel

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
  2. Cook, stirring constantly, 5–7 minutes until thick and golden.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Pour caramel over baked base and spread evenly.

3. Add Chocolate

  1. Melt chocolate and butter together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Pour over caramel layer and spread evenly.

4. Chill & Slice

  • Refrigerate for 2–3 hours until set.
  • Slice into bars and serve.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Crunch boost: Sprinkle crushed nuts or toffee bits over caramel before chocolate layer.
  • Salted caramel: Add a pinch of sea salt to caramel or sprinkle on top.
  • Mini bars: Use a muffin tin for single-serving treats.
  • Make-ahead: Store in an airtight container in the fridge up to a week.

If you want, I can give a super indulgent “chewy, ultra-chocolatey, caramel-stretch” version that’s basically candy-bar level perfection 😏.

Do you want me to do that version?
