Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna

Posted on January 13, 2026 by Admin

Ohhhh yes 😍🍎 — Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna is basically the ultimate breakfast-dessert mashup: layers of cinnamon rolls, tender caramelized apples, gooey caramel sauce, and cream cheese frosting. Comfort food heaven in a pan.

🍎🍮 Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna

Ingredients (9×13-inch pan)

Cinnamon Rolls Layer

  • 2 cans (8–9 rolls each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing

Apple Layer

  • 3 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Caramel Sauce

  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prep Apples

  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cook 5–7 minutes until apples are tender but not mushy. Set aside to cool slightly.

2. Prepare Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Preheat oven according to package instructions (usually 350°F / 175°C).
  2. Cut each cinnamon roll into bite-sized pieces.

3. Layer the Lasagna

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Bottom layer: Half of the cut cinnamon roll pieces.
  3. Apple layer: Spread half of the cooked apples evenly over cinnamon rolls.
  4. Caramel drizzle: Drizzle half of the caramel sauce.
  5. Cream cheese layer: Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread half over apples/caramel.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with cream cheese layer on top.

4. Bake

  • Cover with foil and bake 25–30 minutes until heated through and lightly golden.

5. Serve

  • Drizzle additional caramel sauce and any icing from cinnamon rolls over the top.
  • Serve warm with a fork — it’s rich and gooey!

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Extra gooey: Add a sprinkle of toffee bits or chopped pecans between layers.
  • Fruity twist: Mix in pears with apples or use caramelized bananas.
  • Make-ahead: Assemble the night before and refrigerate; bake in the morning.
  • Spiced upgrade: Add a pinch of ground ginger or cloves to the apple mixture.

If you want, I can give a “decadent bakery-style version” where the caramel layer is homemade salted caramel, the cream cheese frosting is silky smooth, and it’s basically fall in a pan 😏.

Do you want me to do that version?
