Peanut pecan candy

Posted on January 14, 2026 by Admin

Ooooh yes 😍🥜🍬 — Peanut Pecan Candy is that sweet, nutty, crunchy, buttery goodness that disappears in seconds. Here’s a classic stovetop version that’s easy and reliable.

🥜 Peanut Pecan Candy

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup pecans, halves or chopped
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or cayenne for a twist

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep pan
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat
    • Lightly grease
  2. Cook sugar mixture
    • In a medium saucepan over medium heat:
      • Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt
      • Stir until butter melts and sugar dissolves
      • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly
      • Cook until it reaches hard-ball stage (250–265°F / 120–130°C) or thickens and bubbles
  3. Add flavor & nuts
    • Remove from heat
    • Stir in vanilla
    • Quickly fold in peanuts and pecans
  4. Shape candy
    • Pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet
    • Spread evenly or drop spoonfuls for clusters
    • Let cool completely until hard
  5. Break & store
    • Break into pieces once set
    • Store in an airtight container

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Chocolate swirl: drizzle melted chocolate over cooled candy
  • Extra crunch: toast nuts lightly before adding
  • Salted version: sprinkle flaky sea salt over top while hot
  • Spicy-sweet: pinch cayenne or chili powder for a subtle kick

These are perfect for gifts, snacks, or that moment when “just one piece” turns into half the batch 😏

If you want, I can also give a microwave 5–minute version that’s even faster and still glossy & crunchy. Do you want that version?
