Posted on December 27, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a simple, flavorful recipe for Slow Cooker Beef Brisket with BBQ Sauce—tender, juicy, and full of smoky-sweet flavor.

🥩 Slow Cooker Beef Brisket with BBQ Sauce

Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 3–4 lb beef brisket
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

1. Season Brisket

  • Mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.

2. Prepare Slow Cooker

  • Place sliced onions and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Pour beef broth over the onions.

3. Add Brisket

  • Place brisket on top of onions, fat side up.
  • Spread half of the BBQ sauce over the brisket.

4. Cook Low & Slow

  • Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–6 hours, until brisket is fork-tender.

5. Finish with BBQ Sauce

  • Remove brisket and slice against the grain.
  • Stir remaining BBQ sauce into the juices in the slow cooker.
  • Serve brisket with sauce drizzled over the top.

Tips

  • Tender slices: Slice brisket against the grain to keep it tender.
  • Extra flavor: Let brisket rest in the sauce for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • Serving ideas: Serve with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or on sandwich buns.

This slow-cooker BBQ brisket is easy, flavorful, and perfect for a hands-off meal that tastes like it’s been slow-smoked.

I can also give a smoky chipotle version, a brown sugar & honey glaze version, or a pressure-cooker version for faster results.
