Egg Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (toasted or plain)
  • 1–2 eggs
  • 1–2 teaspoons butter or oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon, ham, or hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg:
    • Fried egg: Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Crack the egg and cook until the white is set and yolk is done to your liking (sunny side up, over easy, or over hard).
    • Scrambled egg: Beat the egg with a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour into the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until just set.
  2. Toast the bread (optional): Spread butter or your favorite condiment (mayo, mustard, or avocado).
  3. Assemble the sandwich:
    • Place the cooked egg on one slice of bread.
    • Add optional toppings like cheese, tomato, lettuce, or bacon.
    • Top with the second slice of bread.
  4. Serve: Cut in half if desired and enjoy warm.

Tips & Variations

  • Cheese option: Place a slice of cheese on the egg while it’s still hot to melt it.
  • Vegetable boost: Add spinach, arugula, or sliced avocado for extra flavor and nutrients.
