Here’s a delicious Philly Cheesesteak Casserole recipe — all the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak in an easy baked dish 🥩🧀🌶️


Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika or Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook the Steak and Vegetables

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and steak slices. Cook until steak is browned and fully cooked. Season with salt, pepper, and optional Worcestershire sauce or paprika.

2. Assemble the Casserole

  1. Reduce heat to low and stir in softened cream cheese until melted and creamy.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle shredded provolone and cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

3. Bake

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

4. Serve

  1. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm, optionally with sandwich rolls, over rice, or with a side salad.

Tips

  • Make it extra cheesy: Mix some cheese into the steak and vegetable mixture before baking.
  • Add heat: Include sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Bread-free option: Serve as is for a low-carb meal.
