Oven baked chicken wings

Posted on February 11, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a crispy, flavorful oven-baked chicken wings recipe 🍗🔥 — no deep fryer needed!

🍗 Oven-Baked Chicken Wings (Serves 4)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900g) chicken wings
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked paprika adds extra flavor)
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Optional: ½ tsp cayenne for heat

For Sauce (Optional):

  • ¼ cup hot sauce (like Frank’s)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top (helps wings crisp).

2️⃣ Prepare Wings

  • Pat wings dry with paper towels (removes moisture for crispiness).
  • Toss wings with olive oil and spices until evenly coated.

3️⃣ Bake

  • Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  • Bake 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

4️⃣ Optional Sauce

  • Mix hot sauce, melted butter, and honey in a bowl.
  • Toss baked wings in sauce until coated.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Serve hot with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and ranch or blue cheese dressing.

💡 Tips

  • Extra crispy: Bake wings at 425°F on a wire rack; high heat and airflow help crisp the skin.
  • Marinate for flavor: Marinate wings in spices, garlic, and a bit of oil for 1–2 hours before baking.
  • Flavor variations: BBQ sauce, teriyaki glaze, garlic parmesan, or Cajun seasoning.

If you want, I can also give you a “crispy oven-baked wings without sauce” trick that makes them as crispy as fried wings.

Do you want me to do that?
