Lumpia (Filipino Spring Rolls)
Time: ~45 minutes
Makes: 20–25 pieces
Ingredients
- Lumpia wrappers (or spring roll wrappers)
- ½ lb (225 g) ground pork (or chicken/beef)
- 1 cup finely chopped vegetables
- carrots
- onions
- green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Make filling
In a bowl, mix meat, vegetables, garlic, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. - Wrap
Lay wrapper flat.
Add 1–2 tbsp filling near one edge.
Roll tightly, fold sides in, seal edge with a little water. - Fry
Heat oil over medium heat.
Fry lumpia in batches until golden brown (3–5 minutes). - Drain & serve
Place on paper towels.

- Banana ketchup
- Vinegar with garlic & pepper
Tips
- Keep wrappers covered with a damp towel so they don’t dry out.
- You can freeze uncooked lumpia and fry later.
