Ingredients
Banana Bread
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup sugar (white or brown)
- ½ cup melted butter or oil
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
Cream Cheese Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk (or 1 tbsp milk)
- ½ tsp vanilla
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan. - Banana batter
Mix flour, baking soda, salt.
In another bowl, mix sugar, butter, bananas, egg, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry just until mixed. - Cream cheese filling
Beat cream cheese, sugar, yolk, and vanilla until smooth. - Assemble
- Pour half the banana batter into the pan.
- Spread cream cheese mixture on top (don’t touch edges).
- Top with remaining banana batter.
- Bake
Bake 55–65 minutes. Cover loosely if top browns too fast. - Cool completely
Let cool fully before slicing so the center sets.
