Homemade Breadsticks
Makes: 12 breadsticks
Time: ~1 hour
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
Topping
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- Optional: Parmesan or Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Activate yeast
Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. - Make dough
Stir in olive oil, salt, and flour. Knead 5–7 minutes until smooth. - Rise
Cover and let rise 30 minutes until doubled. - Shape
Roll dough into logs and place on lined baking sheet. - Bake
Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
Bake 12–15 minutes until lightly golden. - Finish
Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle garlic salt and Parmesan.
Quick Version (No Yeast)
Use pizza dough or refrigerated dough—just shape, bake, and butter.
Tips
