Steak and Eggs

Posted on January 3, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic Steak and Eggs breakfast (or brunch) 🥩🍳 — simple, hearty, and packed with protein.

Steak and Eggs

Servings: 1–2
Time: ~20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your favorite cut), ~8 oz
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 eggs
  • Optional: fresh herbs (parsley, chives), hot sauce, or garlic butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare steak
    • Bring steak to room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
    • Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Cook steak
    • Heat skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil or butter.
    • Sear steak 3–5 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust time for thickness).
    • Remove from pan, let rest 5 minutes.
  3. Cook eggs
    • In the same skillet, cook eggs to your liking: sunny-side up, over-easy, or scrambled.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve
    • Slice steak against the grain, serve with eggs on the side.
    • Optional: drizzle with garlic butter or sprinkle fresh herbs.

Tips & Variations

  • Add a side of sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, or hash browns.
  • For extra flavor, marinate steak 30 minutes in soy sauce, garlic, and a splash of Worcestershire.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear.

I can also give a one-pan version where steak and eggs cook together for a faster breakfast.

Do you want me to do that?
