🍫 Chocolate-Covered Brownie Bars

Rich, fudgy brownie base topped with a smooth chocolate shell — perfect for parties, gifting, or late-night cravings.

🛒 Ingredients

Brownie Layer

  • 1 cup (225g) butter, melted
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Chocolate Topping

  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (for shine)

Optional add-ins:

  • Chopped nuts
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Caramel drizzle
  • Sea salt flakes

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: Whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  4. Bake 20–25 minutes (center should be set but fudgy). Cool completely.
  5. Melt topping: Microwave chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Spread chocolate evenly over cooled brownies.
  7. Chill 30–60 minutes until topping firms up.
  8. Slice into bars using a sharp knife (wipe blade between cuts for clean edges).

💡 Tips for Perfect Bars

  • Don’t overbake — slightly underbaked = fudgier texture.
  • Refrigerate before cutting for sharp layers.
  • Sprinkle sea salt before chocolate sets for a gourmet touch.
  • For extra richness, mix chocolate chunks into the batter.
