Here’s a moist, cozy Apple Cake that’s easy to make and perfect for fall—or anytime 🍎


Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and diced (about 3–4 apples)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan or a Bundt pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Fold in apples.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool before serving.

Optional Toppings

  • Dust with powdered sugar
  • Cream cheese glaze (powdered sugar + cream cheese + milk + vanilla)
  • Caramel drizzle for extra sweetness

Tips

  • Use Granny Smith for a tart bite or Honeycrisp for sweetness
  • Add ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans if you like crunch
