Here’s how to make a fluffy-inside, crispy-skin baked potato every time.

🥔 Perfect Baked Potato (Oven)

Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Scrub potatoes clean and dry them well.
  3. Pierce each potato 4–5 times with a fork.
  4. Rub lightly with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt.
  5. Place directly on the oven rack (foil on lower rack for drips).
  6. Bake 45–60 minutes, until skin is crisp and inside is soft.

  • Slice open, fluff with a fork
  • Add butter first (always)
  • Then salt, pepper, and toppings
