Breadsticks

Here’s an easy homemade Breadsticks recipe 🥖✨
Soft on the inside, lightly crisp on the outside—just like restaurant style.


Homemade Breadsticks

Makes: 12 breadsticks
Time: ~1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Topping

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Optional: Parmesan or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast
    Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Make dough
    Stir in olive oil, salt, and flour. Knead 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  3. Rise
    Cover and let rise 30 minutes until doubled.
  4. Shape
    Roll dough into logs and place on lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake
    Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
    Bake 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Finish
    Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle garlic salt and Parmesan.

Quick Version (No Yeast)

Use pizza dough or refrigerated dough—just shape, bake, and butter.

Tips

  • For extra soft breadsticks, brush with butter before and after baking.
  • Serve with marinara, cheese sauce, or Alfredo.
