Cajun shrimp and steak alfredo pasta.

Posted on February 1, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes — that’s a rich, indulgent pasta dish that combines tender steak, juicy shrimp, and creamy Alfredo sauce with a Cajun kick. Here’s a detailed recipe you can make at home:

Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo Pasta

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

For the Protein

  • 8 oz steak (ribeye, sirloin, or strip), thinly sliced
  • 8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1–2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter

For the Pasta & Sauce

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta

  • Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

2️⃣ Cook the Steak

  • Season steak slices with salt, pepper, and 1 tsp Cajun seasoning.
  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear steak 2–3 minutes per side until cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

  • Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • In the same skillet, sauté shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

4️⃣ Make the Alfredo Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream, whisk, and simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • If sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.

5️⃣ Combine Everything

  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Fold in steak and shrimp.
  • Finish with lemon juice (optional) and sprinkle with parsley.

6️⃣ Serve

  • Plate hot and optionally top with extra Parmesan.

Tips

  • Cajun kick: Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice tolerance.
  • Cheese: Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melt and flavor.
  • Protein prep: Slice steak thinly to cook quickly and remain tender.
  • Low-carb version: Use zucchini noodles or shirataki noodles instead of pasta.

If you want, I can create a “restaurant-style Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo” version that’s extra creamy, garlicky, and perfectly spicy — ideal for impressing at dinner.

Do you want me to do that?
