Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Cheesy Asparagus—tender asparagus spears baked with a creamy cheese topping. It’s a perfect side dish for dinner.

🥬 Cheesy Asparagus

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or shredded cheddar for more melt)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for crunch)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of paprika or lemon zest

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.

2. Prepare Asparagus

  • Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the dish.
  • Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper.

3. Add Cheese

  • Sprinkle Parmesan or shredded cheese evenly over asparagus.
  • Optional: mix breadcrumbs with a little melted butter and sprinkle on top for a crunchy topping.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until asparagus is tender and cheese is melted and slightly golden.

5. Serve

  • Optional: garnish with a squeeze of lemon juice or additional Parmesan.
  • Serve hot as a side dish with chicken, beef, or fish.

Tips

  • Crispier asparagus: Roast at 425°F for a few extra minutes.
  • Cheese variations: Gruyère, mozzarella, or sharp cheddar all work well.
  • Make it creamy: Add a tablespoon of cream or cream cheese before baking.

This Cheesy Asparagus is quick, flavorful, and a great way to enjoy vegetables with a rich, cheesy twist.

I can also give a stovetop version or a bacon-cheese version if you want.
