Here’s a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe — soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips 🍪🍫


Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients
    • In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  3. Mix dry ingredients
    • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine
    • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
    • Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop and bake
    • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
    • Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  6. Cool and serve
    • Let cookies cool 2–3 minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.

Tips

  • For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let them finish cooking on the baking sheet.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty flavor.
  • Mix in nuts or white chocolate chips for variety.
