🍥 Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 8 slices soft white bread
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • Cinnamon filling:
    • 3 tbsp brown sugar
    • 1½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk or cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

For serving (don’t skip):

  • Cream cheese glaze or maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prep bread
    • Cut crusts off.
    • Roll each slice flat with a rolling pin.
  2. Fill & roll
    • Brush bread with melted butter.
    • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly.
    • Roll up tightly like mini cinnamon rolls.
  3. Egg dip
    • Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt.
    • Dip each roll-up quickly (don’t soak).
  4. Cook
    • Heat buttered skillet over medium.
    • Cook roll-ups seam-side down, turning until golden on all sides (2–3 min total).
  5. Finish
    • Roll in extra cinnamon sugar if you’re feeling dangerous 😏

Cream Cheese Glaze (2-minute magic)

  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk
  • Splash vanilla
    Whisk until drizzle-able.

  • Use very soft bread (day-old works great).
  • Medium heat = crispy outside, gooey inside.
  • Don’t oversoak or they’ll unravel.
