Here’s a Cracker Barrel–style Meatloaf copycat that’s moist, savory, and just like the restaurant favorite 🍽️
Cracker Barrel Meatloaf (Copycat)

- 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20 works best)
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Glaze
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
- Soak crackers: In a large bowl, mix crushed crackers and milk. Let sit 1–2 minutes.
- Mix meatloaf: Add ground beef, onion, eggs, cheese, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
- Shape & glaze: Press mixture into the loaf pan. Mix glaze ingredients and spread half over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Add more glaze and bake another 25–30 minutes, until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving Suggestions
- Mashed potatoes
- Green beans
- Mac & cheese (very Cracker Barrel-style!)
Tips
- Don’t overmix or the meatloaf will be dense
- You can bake it free-form on a lined baking sheet if you prefer crisp edges
- Leftovers make great sandwiches
