Cracker Barrel meatloaf

Here’s a Cracker Barrel–style Meatloaf copycat that’s moist, savory, and just like the restaurant favorite 🍽️


Cracker Barrel Meatloaf (Copycat)

Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20 works best)
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Glaze

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. Soak crackers: In a large bowl, mix crushed crackers and milk. Let sit 1–2 minutes.
  3. Mix meatloaf: Add ground beef, onion, eggs, cheese, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
  4. Shape & glaze: Press mixture into the loaf pan. Mix glaze ingredients and spread half over the top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  6. Add more glaze and bake another 25–30 minutes, until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Serving Suggestions

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Green beans
  • Mac & cheese (very Cracker Barrel-style!)

Tips

  • Don’t overmix or the meatloaf will be dense
  • You can bake it free-form on a lined baking sheet if you prefer crisp edges
  • Leftovers make great sandwiches
