Cream cheese squares

OHHH these 😍🧀✨ — cream cheese squares are pure dessert nostalgia. Super easy, super dangerous.


🍰 Cream Cheese Squares (Easy Dessert)

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup butter, melted

Topping

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep
    • Heat oven to 350°F (175°C)
    • Grease a 9×13 baking dish
  2. Bottom layer
    • Press 1 can of crescent dough into the bottom (pinch seams)
  3. Cream cheese filling
    • Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth
    • Spread evenly over dough
  4. Top layer
    • Lay second crescent dough over filling
    • Gently stretch and seal seams
  5. Butter & sugar
    • Pour melted butter evenly on top
    • Mix cinnamon + sugar and sprinkle over butter
  6. Bake
    • Bake 30–35 minutes until golden brown
  7. Cool
    • Let cool, then chill for clean slices (worth it)

✨ Flavor Twists

  • Lemon: add lemon zest + drizzle glaze
  • Pumpkin spice: add pumpkin purée + spice to filling
  • Cherry cheesecake vibes: spoon pie filling on top after baking
  • Savory-sweet: reduce sugar, add honey + flaky salt

Best served slightly chilled or room temp… and yes, they’re better the next day 😌
