Chicken, Steak & Shrimp Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked rice (preferably day-old cooked rice, chilled)
- 1/2 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1/2 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), diced
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2β3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 2β3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook the Proteins
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Cook diced chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Cook steak cubes 2β3 minutes per side until desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
- Cook shrimp 2β3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the Vegetables and Eggs
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil. SautΓ© garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add mixed vegetables and cook 2β3 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Push veggies to the side and pour in beaten eggs. Scramble until just set, then mix with the vegetables.
3. Combine with Rice and Protein
- Add chilled rice to the skillet. Stir-fry 3β4 minutes, breaking up any clumps.
- Return chicken, steak, and shrimp to the skillet. Mix thoroughly.
4. Season
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
5. Serve
- Garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot.
