Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Makes: ~20–24 cookies
Time: ~25–30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2½ cups rolled oats
- ¾–1 cup raisins
Instructions
- Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet.
- Cream butter & sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients and stir into wet mixture.
- Fold in oats and raisins.
- Scoop dough (1–2 tbsp each) onto sheet.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool 5 minutes before moving to a rack.
Tips
- Soak raisins in warm water for 10 minutes for softer cookies.
- Underbake slightly for extra chewiness.
- Add walnuts if you like crunch.
