Here’s a simple, classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookie 🍪
Soft in the middle, lightly crisp on the edges.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Makes: ~20–24 cookies
Time: ~25–30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2½ cups rolled oats
  • ¾–1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet.
  2. Cream butter & sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Mix dry ingredients and stir into wet mixture.
  4. Fold in oats and raisins.
  5. Scoop dough (1–2 tbsp each) onto sheet.
  6. Bake 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Cool 5 minutes before moving to a rack.

Tips

  • Soak raisins in warm water for 10 minutes for softer cookies.
  • Underbake slightly for extra chewiness.
  • Add walnuts if you like crunch.
