Peach cobbler

Here’s a classic Peach Cobbler 🍑🥧
Warm, bubbly peaches with a golden, buttery topping.


Peach Cobbler

Serves: 6–8
Time: ~45–50 minutes

Ingredients

Peach Filling

  • 4–5 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Cobbler Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare filling
    Toss peaches with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
    Spread into a greased baking dish.
  3. Make batter
    Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    Stir in milk until smooth.
  4. Assemble
    Pour melted butter over peaches.
    Pour batter evenly on top—do not stir.
  5. Bake
    Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve
    Let cool slightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Tips & Variations

  • Add nutmeg or ginger for extra warmth.
  • Use brown sugar for a deeper caramel flavor.
