Salisbury Steak with Onion Gravy

Ingredients
Steaks
- 1 lb ground beef
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper
Onion Gravy
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper
Instructions
- Make patties
Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Shape into 4 oval patties. - Brown steaks
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high.
Brown patties 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. - Cook onions
In same pan, add butter and onions.
Cook 8–10 minutes until soft and golden. - Make gravy
Sprinkle flour over onions and cook 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in broth and Worcestershire. - Simmer steaks
Return patties to skillet.
Cover and simmer 10–15 minutes until cooked through and gravy thickens. - Serve
Spoon onion gravy over steaks.
