Avocado on a Burger

YAY. Loud, confident, no hesitation. 🥑🍔

But—only if it’s done right.

When avocado is a win

  • Juicy beef (fatty patty balances the creamy avo)
  • Sharp elements: pickles, red onion, arugula
  • Acid nearby: lime, tomato, special sauce
  • Good melt: pepper jack, Swiss, or cheddar

Avocado works best as:

  • Fresh slices with salt + lemon
  • Or a smashed avocado spread (not chunky, not brown, not sad)

When it’s a hard nay

  • Dry burger (avocado just feels greasy)
  • Too many soft toppings (mushrooms + egg + avo = mush city)
  • Flavorless avocado (if it’s bland, it’s pointless)

Elite avocado burger combo

  • Beef patty
  • Pepper jack
  • Avocado spread
  • Crispy bacon
  • Pickled red onions
  • Chipotle mayo

That’s balance. That’s harmony. That’s art.

So yeah—avocado belongs on burgers, but it has to earn its spot 😌
