🥩🦐 Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

This is a rich, indulgent pasta dish that combines tender blackened steak, spiced shrimp, and creamy Alfredo sauce over fettuccine. It’s a perfect blend of Cajun flavors and Italian comfort food.

🥣 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the blackened steak & shrimp:

  • 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or filet), cut into strips
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp blackened seasoning (or homemade: paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

For the Alfredo pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook pasta:
    • Boil fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Blacken steak and shrimp:
    • Season steak and shrimp with blackened seasoning.
    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook steak strips 2–3 minutes per side until desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
    • In the same skillet, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare Alfredo sauce:
    • In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
    • Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
    • Stir in heavy cream and simmer 2–3 minutes.
    • Gradually add Parmesan, stirring until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine pasta and protein:
    • Toss cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce.
    • Top with blackened steak and shrimp.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Make it spicier: Add more cayenne or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce.
  • Lighter version: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Vegetable add-ins: Sautéed bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms complement the dish well.
  • Blackened seasoning shortcut: Use store-bought Cajun seasoning if short on time.

This dish is creamy, savory, and full of bold flavors — perfect for a weekend dinner or special occasion.

I can also give a one-pan version where the pasta, steak, and shrimp cook together for quicker prep and easier cleanup. Do you want me to do that?
