Posted on February 6, 2026 by Admin

Now that’s a breakfast 🥓🍞😌 Cozy, classic, can’t-miss. Here’s a perfect French toast with crispy bacon combo—simple but done right.

Classic French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick bread (Texas toast, brioche, or challah)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk (or half-and-half for richer)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter, for the pan

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
  3. Dip bread in the egg mixture (don’t soak too long).
  4. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Keep warm while you cook the rest.

Crispy Bacon

Skillet method

  1. Place bacon in a cold pan.
  2. Turn heat to medium.
  3. Cook slowly, flipping occasionally, until crisp.
  4. Drain on paper towels.

Oven method (easy & mess-free)

  • Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 15–20 minutes on a foil-lined sheet.

Serve it up

  • Butter + maple syrup on the French toast
  • Bacon on the side (or tucked right on top—no judgment)
  • Optional upgrades: powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or a drizzle of honey

Want stuffed French toast, Southern-style, or a make-ahead brunch version? 😋
