Lasagna roll ups

Posted on February 12, 2026 by Admin

Lasagna Roll-Ups are a fun, individual-serving twist on classic lasagna—cheesy, saucy, and beautifully layered in every bite.

🍝 What They Are

Cooked lasagna noodles spread with ricotta filling, rolled up, placed seam-side down in sauce, and baked with mozzarella on top.

🧀 Classic Cheese Lasagna Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella (divided)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper
  • Fresh parsley or basil (optional)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and lay flat on parchment paper.
  2. Mix filling: Combine ricotta, egg, ½ cup mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread & roll: Spread 2–3 tablespoons of filling onto each noodle. Roll tightly from one end to the other.
  4. Assemble: Spread 1 cup marinara in a baking dish. Place roll-ups seam-side down.
  5. Top: Spoon remaining sauce over rolls and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  6. Bake: 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

🍖 Variations

  • Meat Lover’s: Add cooked ground beef or sausage to the ricotta mixture.
  • Spinach & Ricotta: Mix in 1 cup sautéed spinach.
  • Alfredo Version: Swap marinara for Alfredo sauce.
  • Low-Carb: Use thin zucchini slices instead of pasta.

🍽 Serve With

  • Garlic bread
  • Caesar or garden salad
  • Roasted vegetables

Creamy inside, saucy outside, and perfectly portioned—lasagna roll-ups are great for meal prep and freeze beautifully.
