Here’s the super easy, classic “Lazy Man’s” Peach Pie Cobbler 🍑
No rolling dough, no mixer—just dump, bake, and enjoy.

“Lazy Man’s” Peach Pie Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 stick (½ cup) butter
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
(or substitute: 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can (29 oz) sliced peaches, undrained
  • Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter
    • Place butter in a 9×13 baking dish.
    • Put dish in oven until butter melts.
  3. Mix batter
    • In a bowl, stir flour, sugar, milk, and optional spices.
    • Do not overmix—lumps are okay.
  4. Assemble
    • Pour batter evenly over melted butter (do not stir).
    • Spoon peaches with juice evenly over the batter (do not stir).
  5. Bake
    • Bake 45–55 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Cool & serve
    • Let sit 10 minutes before serving.

Why It Works

The batter rises through the peaches as it bakes, forming a soft cake with a buttery crust—no effort required.

Tips & Variations

  • Use fresh or frozen peaches (add a little sugar if not sweet)
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon sugar on top before baking
  • Best served warm with vanilla ice cream
