🍍 Pineapple Mousse

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 cup fresh or canned pineapple, chopped (drain if canned)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin (or agar-agar for vegetarian version)
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Optional Garnish:

  • Pineapple chunks, mint leaves, or toasted coconut

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Warm gently (microwave or stovetop) until fully dissolved; do not boil.

2️⃣ Blend Pineapple

  • Puree pineapple in a blender until smooth.

3️⃣ Whip Cream

  1. Whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  2. Fold in the pineapple puree gently.

4️⃣ Add Gelatin

  • Slowly fold the dissolved gelatin into the mousse mixture until fully incorporated.

5️⃣ Chill

  • Pour into serving glasses or bowls.
  • Refrigerate 2–3 hours or until set.

6️⃣ Serve

  • Garnish with pineapple chunks, mint, or toasted coconut before serving.

  • For extra fluffiness, fold whipped cream in two stages to avoid deflating.
  • Use fresh pineapple for a brighter, tangier flavor.
  • For a tropical twist, add a few tablespoons of coconut milk.
