  1. Preheat oven:
    • 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9Γ—5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. Mix dry ingredients:
    • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

    • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (~3–4 minutes).
    • Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients:
    • Alternately add flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
  5. Bake:
    • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
    • Bake 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    • Let cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  6. Add glaze:
    • Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to make a smooth glaze.
    • Pour or drizzle over the warm loaf. Let set before slicing.
